The Anderson Township Youth Sports Scholarship has been named in honor of Danny Celenza.
Danny was a wonderful husband, father, coach, community member, and ATLL volunteer. His legacy goes beyond his involvement in ATLL, as he left an everlasting mark on the Anderson Township community and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Over many years, Danny invested his time and energy into teaching young athletes the importance of hard work, teamwork, and sportsmanship through his qualities of integrity, honesty, and loyalty. From the parents and athletes at the youth through high school level, Danny always strived to make every athlete and person the best version of themselves.
ATYS has chosen to honor Danny’s love for his family, his goal to impact all the athletes he coached, and the positive influence he had on everyone he encountered. We at ATYS strive to embody all the attributes that Danny lived by and hope to continue a small part of his legacy through the shared belief that all athletes benefit from their participation in sports.
The Danny Celenza Youth Scholarship is offered to:
- Tribute local military families, and
- Create opportunities for children and teens in our local communities who are unable to pay the fees and other costs to participate in our baseball programs.
